Plot Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) Emerson move in relation to their mother Lucy (Dianne Wiest) to Santa Carla, a coastal California town plagued with gang activity and unexplained disappearances. One evening Michael experiences a chapter of blood lust that nearly drives him to address his brother; your new puppy bites his hand defending Sam. Terrified of his brother, Sam contacts Edgar and Alan. However, he refuses to kill Michael. Michael convinces Sam that he is not gonna kill him understanding that he will know what is happening. Michael sneaks from home and returns with the vampires' lair, where he confronts Star. She apologizes, insisting that they attempted to warn him. The 2 main embrace and then have intercourse. The morning after Michael removes the makeshift bandage from his hand and finds the dog bite has healed. Sometime later, the gang slaughters someone glued to Michael trying to convince him to participate in them, but Michael will not kill. Meanwhile, Sam learns that if the top vampire is killed, all half-vampires can be returned to normalcy. Sam,

Lucy keeps growing another date with Max, and Grandpa is tricked into leaving your place. The teens arm themselves with traditional defenses against vampires. David with his fantastic remaining gang attack, but they are killed. But Michael, Star and Laddie do not settle for normal. The suspicions of Sam, Edgar and Alan are confirmed when Max reveals himself that should be the top vampire. He passed the teens' tests because Michael had invited him into his home. Max is going to bite Lucy to rework her proper vampire, to serve as "mother" for his acquired family, but Granpa crashes his Jeep throughout the wall of the house and kills Max by impaling him with a flying fence post.
